Description: Charles Young's unpublished play based on Toussaint Louverture, the leader of the Haitian Revolution in the 1790s, which led to the freeing of Haitian slaves and the independent nation of Haiti. Young was the third African American to graduate from West Point when he finished his military education in 1889.
