Description: Print depicting a political cartoon which appeared in Chic magazine in February 1880. The cartoon depicts presidential candidates Republican James A. Garfield and running mate Chester Arthur, fellow Republican Ulysses S. Grant, Democrat Winfield Scott Hancock and his running mate William H. English, and others as ballerinas with Uncle Sam as the conductor. Sticking out of the top of Grant's dress is a paper with the words "BACK PAY" written. The trap door on the stage says: "DEGOLYER TRAP," while the flowers on stage have pieces of paper saying, "From Gen Sherman" in them.
