Fairport Harbor Village Site
Description: Flat, roughly oval, water-worn cobble has concave indentations on opposite sides of the long axis, presumably made to provide secure attachment points to the cordage of a fishnet. The stone, which may be siltstone, is grayish brown in color. Item was found at the Fairport Harbor Village Site in Lake County, Ohio. View on Ohio Memory.
