Description: Photograph of Frank A. Earl of Shelby County. Electrocuted December 20, 1907, for the Murder of William Legg. On April 20, 1907, Frank Earl and Frank Walter broke into William Legg's meat market in Sidney, Ohio, and demanded money at gunpoint. There were two shots fired, and Legg was killed. Although Earl maintained his innocence until the end, declaring, at his execution, that he had not killed Legg, he was charged guilty and executed in December, 1907.
