: Frank Mazzano, of Summit County, was electrocuted February 21, 1919, for the Murder of Partolman Gethin Richards.
In spring 1918, Officer Gethin Richards went to investigate three suspicious looking men near a railroad in Akron, Ohio. One of the men, Mazzano, fired three shots and killed Gethin. A passerby summoned the police, and Richards was captured shortly afterward. View on Ohio Memory.
