Description: This map was prepared for the Centennial Exposition held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1876, the first World's Fair held in the United States. It shows principal war paths, villages, and American Indian trails, stockades and forts with date of erection, the sites of battles and skirmishes with their date, and the route of military expeditions with their date. It also shows the location of many of Ohio's significant prehistoric earthworks, and includes plans and views of several of them. Sections from the map are missing. The 36 sections of the map were digitally pieced together to produce this composite image. View on Ohio Memory.
