Timber rattlesnake photographs
Description: The timber rattlesnake, Crotalus horridus horridus is one of the most dangerous venomous snakes in North America. It is found in the forested hill regions of southern Ohio. Despite its powerful venom, the timber rattlesnake rarely attacks and prefers to avoid conflict. The snake reaches between 30 and 54 inches in length and lives approximately thirty years.
