Gallia County Courthouse   Save
Robert Deshon Collection
Description: This image shows the front facade of the Gallia County Courthouse. This Italianate structure was built in 1879 and has Ionic columns and Roman windows. Like the second and third courthouses before it, the fourth Gallia County Courthouse was destroyed by a fire in 1981, believed to be the cause of a faulty heater. Subsequently, the present courthouse (not pictured), completed in 1985, was built fireproof with a steel frame, concrete floors, and extensive sprinkler system. View on Ohio Memory.
