: Caption reads: "Old Pease Home, W. Carrollton, O." Horace Pease moved from Connecticut to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1816 and moved to Montgomery County in 1823. He lived in Carrollton (now West Carrollton) where he ran the H. & P. Pease flour mill until 1851 or 1852. He also operated a second flour mill in Dayton from 1839 through 1866. His son, Charles Edward Pease, was president of the Buckeye Iron and Brass Works of Dayton. View on Ohio Memory.
