Raw Material Copper   Save
W. R. Wilson Collection
Description: This mass of natural copper is irregular in shape and full of holes; it is olive black with some areas of light red. Raw copper, like this specimen, is what the Adena or Hopewell cultures would have brought down from southern Ontario to hammer into earspools or copper plates. This specimen specifically is from an indeterminate time period. View on Ohio Memory.
