Description: This painting, titled "Marietta from Harmar Hill," was painted in 1835 by Charles Sullivan shortly after he arrived in Marietta from Wheeling, West Virginia. Sullivan is especially well-known today for his landscapes. He lived and worked in Marietta until his death in 1867. The painting is part of the Ohio History Connection fine art collection.
