Hopewell Mound Group
Description: Long, curved, trapezoidal copper head plate has abstract piercings arranged in a bi-lateral symmetrical fashion. Piercings include four comma shapes in pairs in opposition, two hook shapes in opposition and one round hole. Oxidation has turned the copper to a grayish green color. Item was excavated from the Hopewell Site in Twin Township, Ross County, Ohio. View on Ohio Memory.
