Description: Small stone celt (ungrooved ax) is roughly rectangular with one end rounded and one end squared and sharpened. It tapers toward the rounded end. The celt is ground and polished. One side is flatter than the other. The edges are slightly flattened. It is gray mottled with very dark gray near the sharpened end and white near the rounded end. Item was excavated from Orr-Burgh Mound in Bowling Green Township, Licking County, Ohio. View on Ohio Memory.
