Description: Ohio State University bookplate designed by Thomas E. French, professor of engineering drawing and given in 1915 by the Class of 1890. The east front of the library building is pictured; the cartouche with the seal of the university is adapted from one of the four carved ornaments on the front of the building, and the motif of the border is from the buckeye. From p. 150 of "Some American College Book-Plates" by Harry Parker Ward (Columbus: The Champlin Printing Company, 1915). View on Ohio Memory.
