Description: Red leather armchair made by Traditional Furniture Shops in High Point, North Carolina, that dates from 1945-1950. The armchair has a high back, wings, rolled arms, square seat cushion, straight legs in the front, and tapered legs in the rear. Single lines of brass tacks adorn the outer edges, and double lines of brass tacks adorn the front of the arm rests and their supports. Red leather ottoman made by Traditional Furniture Shops in High Point, North Carolina, that dates from 1945-1950. The square-shaped ottoman has a slightly domed top, flat sides, and four tapered, wooden legs. Lyn and David Glenn, children of John and Annie Glenn, donated several items belonging to their parents in 2018. Many of the objects are from their household or are related to John Glenn's career as an astronaut and U.S. Senator. View on Ohio Memory.
