Description: These red glazed ceramics were made by Annie Glenn in 1953. Annie made these and other ceramic pieces while John was serving in Korea. The ashtray has an opening on the bottom where a pack of cigarettes can be stored. On the top of the astray, there is a ceramic flower in red glaze with green glazed leaves. The bowl has straight sides painted black. The interior and underside have cream glaze. The round lid is painted mauve on the top side and has cream glaze on the underside. On the lid is a cream-glazed flower with green-glazed leaves and vines. Signed "Annie / '53" in black paint on the underside. The oblong dish has flared, scalloped edges with two scrolls on one short end. The top side is painted mauve, and the underside has cream glaze. The dish is signed "Annie / '53" in mauve paint on the underside. Lyn and David Glenn, children of John and Annie Glenn, donated several items belonging to their parents in 2018.
