: This small American flag is made of cotton and dates from 1917-1918. This rectangular flag has red and white stripes and white stars on a blue background. The dimensions are 27 cm by 42 cm.
Cyril H. Webster of Columbus, Ohio, donated this flag in 1953. The donor received the flag from the citizens of Bellevue, Ohio, who during World War I sent each serviceman from the community a small American flag. Bellevue, Ohio, is located in the north central part of the state where the county lines of Erie, Huron, Seneca and Sandusky counties meet.
