Description: Print titled "Cincinnati's sorrowful Sabbath morning," from "The Great Cincinnati Riots" (The Old Franklin Publishing House, 1884). Riots erupted in Cincinnati in March 1884 due to public outrage over the outcome of a murder trial. The Hamilton County courthouse was severely damaged by fire and Ohio National Guard troops were called to the city to end the unrest. Text at bottom reads: "Cincinnati's sorrowful Sabbath morning."
