Description: Suit, ca. 1825-1830. This man's double-breasted tailcoat-patterned blue wool suit with bone buttons was made and presented by Rachel Donelson (Mrs. Andrew) Jackson to Moses Dawson, a well-known Cincinnati editor of that period. The woolen threads woven in the cloth were spun by Mrs. Jackson at "The Hermitage" from the fleece of her own sheep on a hand spinning wheel. View on Ohio Memory.
