Projectile point from Paleoindian Culture   Save
William E. Evans Collection
Description: Flint fluted point has roughly parallel sides that narrow slightly to a point. The base curves inward and is fluted. Fluting reduces the thickness of the base and allows the point to be attached to a shaft. Near the base the edges have been ground smooth. It is mostly gray in color mottled with strong brown, dark brown and light gray. Item was found in Ross County, Ohio. View on Ohio Memory.
