John Hopley Family
Description: This photograph of the dining room of the John P. Hopley family home, known as Maple Corner, in Bucyrus, Ohio, was taken on September 8, 1899. Hanging in the window is a flag and a photograph of "Ma's Baby Joe," Joseph William Hopley. He was the youngest son of John P. and Georgianna Hopley. During the Spanish-American War he accompanied the 8th Ohio to Cuba as a correspondent. The border around the photograph bears a number of handwritten inscriptions. View on Ohio Memory.
