Contents include "Santa Claus on a Lark," "A Christmas Dinner with the Man in the Moon," "Tom Noble's Christmas," "The Strange Adventures of a Woodsled," "An Angel in an Ulster," "Mr. Halliburton Todd's Surprise Party," "Emil's Christmas Gift," and "Santa Claus in the Pulpit." Washington Gladden was a prominent minister, local politician and social reformer in late-19th and early-20th century Ohio. He served as pastor of the First Congregational Church in Columbus for 32 years, and in 1891, was a delegate to the international congress of Congregationalists in London.
