: Dated ca. 1891, this photograph shows women's rights activists Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton sitting together. The two activists met in 1851 at an anti-slavery meeting in Seneca Falls, New York, and joined forces to launch the national women's suffrage movement and published the newspaper The Revolution. Together they founded the New York Women's State Temperance Society, Women's Loyal National American Equal Rights Association, and the National Woman Suffrage Association (NWSA). View on Ohio Memory.
