: According to the oral history of the donor, The First Unitarian Church of Marietta, Ohio, completed this comforter. The quilt is constructed of square patches alternating solid cream and solid baby blue cottons in a checkerboard pattern. Each cream patch as a name written diagonally across and all the signatures are in the same hand. The corners of each block are tied with cream and blue yarn. The back is solid cream fabric. The binding is applied baby blue cotton. The size of the quilt is 220cm x 190cm (87 x 75 inches). View on Ohio Memory.
