The dark half of the square is made of totally black fabrics and the light half of the square in various solid, plaid and check fabrics in bright colors. The quilt has a border of four narrow strips laid horizontally in alternating fabrics of red and black wool. The applied binding is red wool. The back is two-piece red wool. It is tied with black cotton to the back. It is 208cm x 208cm (82 x 82 inches). View on Ohio Memory.
