Company L was recruited from Washington County, Ohio, and was also known as "Thomas' Escort" or, "General George Thomas' Bodyguard." The following is on the reverse: "Killed in the Civil War. Grandfather Hutchinson [?] once lived on the Guitteau Farm. Fulton is the man George Fulton Hutchinson was named for.
