Description: Businessman and labor leader Jacob S. Coxey after he won the Republican nomination for mayor of Massillon, Ohio at the age of 76, August 12, 1931. Coxey was known as "General Coxey" and received national recognition when he led an "Industrial Army" of unemployed workers to Washington, D.
