Description: Skip hoist made by the Jeffrey Manufacturing Company of Columbus, Ohio in use at the power plant of The Ohio State University in Columbus, 1929. The hoist is the black structure on the right side of the power plant. It was used to carry coal ashes from the power plant to railroad cars for disposal. View on Ohio Memory.
