Description: The flag of West Virginia has a white background with a blue border. The state seal of West Virginia is in the center. The seal shows two men, a farmer and a miner leaning on a rock. On the rock is written: "June 20, 1863", the day the state entered the United States. Above them is a red banner that reads: "State of West Virginia". Surrounding the rest of the seal are rhododendrons, the flower of the state. The dimensions of the flag are 110 by 160 cm and the fabric is wool and nylon. 1860s View on Ohio Memory.
