Ohio Battle Flag Audiovisual Collection
Description: The banners are red with gold lettering and are the battle banners of the 47th Ohio Veteran Volunteer Infantry. They were organized at Camp Dennison on August 13, 1861. They joined General Sherman on his March to the Sea on November 15th, 1864 and were mustered out at Little Rock, Arkansas on August 11, 1865. The text of banners reads: Chattanooga & Mission Ri[d]ge; Charleston, VA; Wilstach Regiment; Tuscumbia, ALA.; Siege of Jackson; Vicksburg, MISS.
