Description: These are the national colors of the 48th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. Text on flag reads: Corinth. C[?] Shiloh. Siege [?] Arkansas Post. Port Gibson. [?] Bla[c]k R[iv]er Bridge. Vicksburg. J[?]. The 48th was formed in September 1861 and was mustered out on May 9, 1866. The flag has deteriorated and much of it is missing. It has not been cataloged in this collection.
