Description: One of forty-five 85-ton Pollock-Kling Type Hot Metal Ladle Cars Built for Russian Steel Plants through the Soviet Purchasing Commission, Washington, D.C. Trucks equipped with SKF roller bearings, car body bolted together so that car could be knocked down and shipped in convenient sections, ladle built in combination welded and riveted construction so that ladle could be disassembled into three sections and nested together, thus saving valuable space in ocean shipment.
