Description: Photograph of Yvonne Walker-Taylor with an unidentified woman while vacationing in the West Indies, the birth place of her father, Bishop Dougal Ormonde Beaconfield Walker. Walker was the 66th Bishop appointed to the African Methodist Episcopal Church and the 10th president of Wilberforce University in the 1940s. Walker-Taylor later went on to follow in his footsteps, and became one of the first female African American college president in the United States when she was named the 16th president of Wilberforce University in 1984.
