Description: Photograph of Yvonne Walker-Taylor standing along side a donkey in St. Vincent in the West Indies. Walker-Taylor was one of the first female African American college president in the United States when she was named the 16th president of Wilberforce University in 1984. She was also the daughter of Bishop Dougal Ormonde Beaconfield Walker who was the 66th Bishop of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. He resided over the A.M.E. Fifth Episcopal District (California Colorado Kansas-Nebraska Missouri, Northwest Missouri Pacific Northwest Southern California) and was the 10th president of Wilberforce University.
