Description: This rectangular woodworking plane was made by the Ohio Tool Company in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio. Manufactured in approximately 1860, this wooden plane has a center hole, two vertical spikes and a slanted blade. The Ohio Historical Society received this plane from Professor Charles Foulk of Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio, in 1938. His relative, Elias James Foulk, purchased this old-style plane around 1860.
