Description: Homes at Highview Plat, ca. 1919. The company constructed this housing for mill workers and their families following a strike in the early 20th century. Residents had their choice of various housing types and styles, including the bungalow type. Homes had five to six rooms with pine floors and trim, and the modern day amenities of indoor plumbing, electricity, and heat.
