Description: Modern photographic print made from a glass plate negative that depicts William Casey, Ohio State University drum major, marching with the band, ca. 1934-1935. As the leader of the band, he has a whistle in his mouth and carries a baton. In 1934, the OSU marching band became one of the first in the nation to switch to an all brass-and-percussion instrumentation.
