Description: This print shows a parade of men returning to Hamilton County from fighting in the Civil War. Crowds of men and woman in 1860s attire line the street, waving handkerchiefs, flags, and their hats as the military men walk by. The first group of marching men are playing drums and fifes or flutes, followed by uniformed men with rifles and bayonets on their shoulder. The background of the image shows men on horseback. A church building, hills, trees, and fences can be seen near the back of the image as well. The print, made from an engraving, originally appeared in the 1907 edition of Henry Howe's "Historical Collections of Ohio, the Ohio Centennial Edition." View on Ohio Memory.
