Description: Pictured is a drawing of a squirrel hunter. Squirrel Hunters were civilian men who assisted the federal government in defending Cincinnati, Ohio from Confederate attack in 1862. Their name was derived from the type of weapons they armed themselves with, which were normally used to hunt squirrels.
