Description: Theodore Burton was born in Jefferson, Ohio, in 1851. He went on to have an active career in politics as a member of the Republican Party. He served as a US senator from 1909 to 1915; and in the House of Representatives from 1921 until the end of 1928. When he died in 1929, he was serving in the US Senate as the appointed replacement for Frank B. Willis. Burton was born in Jefferson, Ashtabula County, Ohio on December 20, 1851.
