Description: Print of a painting by Gilbert Gaul titled "Battery H, 1st Ohio Lt. Art., in Action at Cold Harbor, VA. in 1864." The Battle of Cold Harbor, near Richmond, Virginia, was fought from May 31 through June 12, 1864. With over 15,000 casualties, it was one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War. Also known as Huntington's Battery, Battery H of the 1st Ohio Light Artillery was mustered in a Camp Dennison on November 7, 1861. View on Ohio Memory.
