Harry Kinley Collection
Description: The photograph shows seven people and a dog on the front porch of the Kinley house. Harry Kinley's father, John H. Kinley, stands on the left of the porch steps, and an unidentified man stands on the right. Harry Kinley's mother, Caroline Kinley, is seated on the left of the porch along with another woman. Three boys are seated on the top step, with a dog sitting between two of the boys. The man on the right holds a hat and an umbrella with a bag at his feet. Photograph by Harry Evan Kinley (1882-1969), a native of Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Kinley was active in local events and organizations, and spent his professional career as a clerk at his father's store, and later as a traveling salesman for the Marion Paper & Supply Company (1934-1962). Kinley was also an avid lifelong photographer, and the bulk of the Harry Kinley Collection is comprised of glass plate negatives documenting the Kinley family, the city of Upper Sandusky and Wyandot County and surrounding areas. .
