Description: Dated to 1898, this is an advertisement for a business course offered at Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio, in Stark County. The advertisement boasts a reasonable fee of $30 which includes books and other supplies, and cheap room and board. Courses were also available in Shorthand and Typewriting. Mount Union College was founded by Orville Nelson Hartshorn in 1846 as a coeducational and racially integrated institution, and later joined with Scio College in 1911.
