Description: Taken by the Ohio Contractors Association, this photograph shows men installing a large concrete pipeline at an unidentified location in Ohio, ca. 1967. The Ohio Contractors Association Collection includes photographs and negatives of heavy construction projects in Ohio for use in the Ohio Contractors Magazine, with particular emphasis on highway construction and other public works projects throughout the state. The Ohio Contractors Association was founded in Columbus, Ohio, in 1918. Members of the organization include construction companies, suppliers, engineers and other service providers involved in the construction of highways and utilities throughout Ohio. Its purpose is to promote the construction and upkeep of airport facilities, mass transportation, recreational facilities, roadways, and water delivery, treatment and conservation systems. Members are also involved in the construction and upkeep of the utility systems that provide electricity, natural gas, oil and telecommunication lines to Ohio's homes and businesses.
