White House Christmas Tree photographs   Save
Wonderful World of Ohio
Description: These five photographs document the selection, cutting, and loading of a Christmas tree by workers from Davey Tree Experts Company and the Ohio Christmas Tree Growers Association in 1967. The tree was delivered to President Lyndon B. Johnson and First Lady Claudia Taylor (Lady Bird) Johnson at the White House in Washington, where it stood in the Blue Room. A painting of the decorated tree appeared on the First Family's Christmas cards that year. View on Ohio Memory.
