Description: This image shows the front facade and dome of the Pennsylvania State Capitol. This is the second building to serve as state's capitol. Its design was inspired by St. Peter's Basilica in Rome and is of the Beaux-Arts architectural style. Motifs throughout the building represent Pennsylvania's achievements in labor, industry and history. It is made of Vermont granite and the roof is made of green glazed terra cotta tile.
