Description: This is a carte de visite of Pvt. Wesley S. French, who served with Company B of the 77th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. Company B was recruited from Noble and Washington Counties, Ohio. French enlisted on November 14, 1861, at age 21, for a 3 year term. He was captured at Mark's Mill, Arkansas on April 25, 1864, and mustered out on March 8, 1866. View on Ohio Memory.
