Description: A black and white photograph of the Lincoln Memorial located across the Potomac River. Finished in 1922, the Lincoln Memorial was built in memory of President Abraham Lincoln. The memorial was designed by architect Henry Bacon. The exterior, inspired by ancient Greece architecture, features 36 columns (only half are visible on the photograph).
