Description: This photo depicts people gathered in the streets of downtown Wapakoneta, Ohio during the homecoming celebration parade held for Neil Armstrong in 1969. There are several children and adults with cameras and signs waiting for Armstrong to make his appearance. More than 80,000 supporters greeted Armstrong upon his return and Bob Hope served as marshal for the event.
