: Electric locomotives made by the Jeffrey Manufacturing Company of Columbus, Ohio in use at the Blaine Mine, Lorain Coal and Dock Company, Bridgeport, Ohio, 1922. On the left is a 15-ton electric haulage locomotive. This type of locomotive was used to pull long trains of coal cars from mines. The top speed of these locomotives was about 5 miles per hour.
